Do I need an internet connection to use Conversa Live?
No. After the initial model download on first launch, Conversa Live works entirely offline. All speech recognition and speaker identification runs on your device.
How do I add a person so Conversa Live recognizes their voice?
Go to the People screen and tap the + button. You'll be guided through a short enrollment — just a few sentences spoken naturally. After enrollment, their name and photo will appear on their bubbles automatically.
Why are two speakers showing the same color?
Conversa Live needs about 10-15 seconds of speech from each person before it can reliably tell them apart. If speakers are still merging after that, try long-pressing a bubble and reassigning it to the correct speaker.
Can I stop a specific person's speech from appearing?
Yes. Go to the People screen, tap that person, and enable "Always Ignore." Their speech will be dropped from the live feed entirely.
What does pinning a bubble do?
Pinned bubbles stay visible in a strip at the top of the screen while the rest of the conversation scrolls past — useful for keeping an important line in view.
Does Conversa Live record or store my audio?
No. Audio is processed in real time and never saved, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Why did Conversa Live download a large file?
On first launch, Conversa Live downloads the machine-learning models it needs to run speech recognition and speaker identification. This is a one-time download. The models are stored on your device and not re-downloaded during normal use.
The app says "Getting Ready" for a long time. What should I do?
This happens on the first launch after installation while models are loading. It should only take a few seconds on subsequent launches. If it persists, try closing and reopening the app.
Does iCloud sync share my data with anyone?
No. iCloud sync stores enrolled people's names, photos, and voice profiles in your own private iCloud database. This data is never visible to the developer or any third party.
My app is not responding / keeps crashing. What should I do?
Try closing the app fully and reopening it. If the problem persists, email us at contact@thetechwiz.me with a brief description of what happened and which device and iOS version you're using.
